Maxi parking in safety.

The maxi-parking lot, located a short distance from Naples’ Central Station, is a true multi-service and intermodal hub for green mobility in the city, which will host spaces for environmentally friendly vehicles on the ground floor, while on the upper floors it will be possible to park ‘on the terrace’, with a view of Vesuvius.

The recently inaugurated project was realised by Brancaccio Costruzioni S.p.A, a construction company specialising in public works with 65 years of activity behind it. The Neapolitan company then entrusted the installation of a number of professional services systems to M2A Technology, which chose Comelit as its supplier partner for the security systems.

We supplied a fire detection system, Evac system and video surveillance. In addition, we integrated the existing access control system, following the entire process (from quotation to final testing) and contributing to the identification of optimal solutions capable of interfacing with the already partially existing systems.

Our comment on the system
“Of course, the Fire and Evac systems are integrated and communicating: during an emergency caused by a fire, the sound signals, the sirens, and the visual signals, with the flashing of the highly efficient alarm signs, are immediately activated. However, when the Evac system is in use and the emergency teams signal what needs to be done through the loudspeakers, the sirens are silenced, while the luminous alarm continues to flash. It sounds like a triviality, but it is essential to avoid sound overlaps and panic due to misunderstanding, while maintaining an alarm level appropriate to the situation,” explains Stefano De Vito, Comelit’s sell-out manager for centre south.
