Comelit Enables Secure Communications at Milan’s Olympic Village.
The IP architecture enables the system to operate seamlessly across multiple buildings without distance limitations, maintaining communication between residents, concierge teams and security staff throughout the site. Centralised porter switchboards oversee calls from entrance panels, allowing security teams to manage access and respond quickly when needed.
While developed to support the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the infrastructure has been designed with the long-term future of the buildings in mind. After the Games conclude, the residences will transition into student housing, with the IP-based system continuing to support communication and safety across the development.

“It was an honour to work at the Milan Olympic Village. Such projects highlight the importance of resilient communication systems in large residential environments. By working closely with the installation partner and project stakeholders, the aim was to deliver an infrastructure that supports the immediate requirements of the Olympic Games while remaining adaptable for the building’s long-term use.”
