Top management change for Comelit Group: Silvia Brasi is the new president.

An important change in the top management of Comelit Group S.p.A. was made official on Thursday, July 23, 2020. In fact, the shareholders’ meeting appointed Silvia Brasi as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Edoardo Barzasi as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, and Fabio Brasi, head of logistics working capital, Demetrio Trussardi, Sales Director Italy, and from this year also Alberto Lazzari, Comelit’s Purchasing Director, as managing directors.

This is how Silvia Brasi, former Vice President of Comelit, comments not without emotion on the decision taken by the shareholders’ meeting to appoint her as Chairman of the Board of Directors while maintaining her functions as head of human resources of the company.

Silvia Brasi was born, grew up and still lives in Clusone, is married and has 2 children, Martina, 25, and Matteo, 22. She graduated in Economics in Bergamo and joined Comelit in 1996, first in the foreign office and then in the nascent marketing department, up to human resources, an activity she is still responsible for today.

“I am very flattered by the choice made by the shareholders. I am the first member of the second generation of Comelit’s founders to assume the presidency of the company.

It is a great responsibility, the one given to me, especially at a difficult time for the world economy, due to the crisis brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has particularly affected our province. But I take it on with great enthusiasm and passion. First of all, because I can count on an extremely cohesive Board of Directors and a management team and numerous collaborators full of passion and enthusiasm, Comelit’s intrinsic strength. And then because I am convinced that our company has the resources to react, as it is already doing, and to return to resume that trend of growth and continuous expansion that has distinguished us in recent years. People are the most important resource we can and want to count on to return to looking positively and courageously to tomorrow.

For me, Comelit has been a sort of second home, in which Dad has always invested his energy. On Saturday mornings when we were little, he would take my sister and me to the company. And while he took care of his work, my sister and I would play in the warehouse.”

Outgoing President Gianni Lazzari, one of the founders of Comelit, was instead appointed Past President.
